After singing praise in worship, we, too, return to the places of our daily lives. There are tasks to do and difficulties to endure there. The faith that praised the Lord makes us rely on the Lord’s grace even in those places. When we fulfill the labor entrusted to us and serve the gospel with one heart together with other saints, the thanksgiving we confessed with our lips continues in our lives as well. We do not supplement the Lord’s salvation with our labor; rather, we serve His work with the joy of having been saved.
