The praise that followed at the Lord’s table At the Passover table, Jesus spoke of His own body and the blood of the covenant. Then, singing praise with His disciples, He went out to the Mount of Olives. Today’s passage is short, but it shows where the path the Lord walks is heading. On the Mount of Olives He will say, “All of you will be made to stumble because of Me this night” (Mark 14:27), and the prayer of Gethsemane and His arrest follow. Even while knowing that path, Jesus praised God.
