The experience of finding it just as the word said would have become a reason for the disciples to trust His later words as well. However, we must not turn this scene into a guarantee that all our life plans will work out just as we expect. What the disciples confirmed was not their own wishes, but what Jesus had specifically instructed. Therefore, we must not conclude that whenever our own plans go well, that is the Lord’s will, or judge that whenever difficulties arise, the Lord is not leading us. We need the faith that follows while distinguishing between the word and our own wishes.
