Jesus said, “So when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing where it ought not (let the reader understand), then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains” (Mark 13:14). This means that, in the face of the tribulation in which the power of the Antichrist, who opposes God, is revealed, one must not delay by one’s own judgment. It is not a time to go into the house to get things or to go back from the field to look for one’s clothes. Things that are needed in ordinary times can, at that time, become what holds one back from following the Lord’s warning.
