Concerning the Lord, who spoke His last words to the disciples, the Gospel of Mark testifies, “So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God” (Mark 16:19). The Lord, who had died on the Cross and had been buried in the tomb, rose and ascended to heaven. The disciples could no longer see the Lord, who had been before their eyes, as they had before, but this did not mean that the Lord had become powerless or had disappeared. He is the Lord who is alive at the right hand of God even now. And the Holy Spirit is in the hearts of those who have received the remission of sins by believing in the baptism of Jesus and the Cross, so He is with us through the Holy Spirit and proves our salvation.
