While saying this, Jesus let them hear the Scripture that says, “The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief cornerstone. This was the LORD’s doing, And it is marvelous in our eyes” (Mark 12:10–11). The fact that people threw Him away does not mean that God’s will is also nullified. Through Jesus, who would be rejected, God accomplishes salvation. The wickedness of the people who kill the sinless Son is revealed as it is, but the work the Lord would accomplish is not blocked by their wickedness.
