The Sadducees, who say there is no resurrection, asked Jesus a question. Their question was that if seven brothers took one woman as wife in turn and died without children, and the woman also died, “In the resurrection, when they rise, whose wife will she be?” (Mark 12:23). They knew the writings of Moses, but they tried to deny the resurrection by applying the marriage relationships of this present world just as they are to the resurrected life as well. By the reasoning of people who have not been born again, it was a natural question.
